Couples Session at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park

Pete and I always enjoy meeting other photographers (especially photographer couples)! When Kat and Keith reached out to book a shoot to commemorate their first destination wedding, we were pumped. Originally based in Seattle, Washington, Kat and Keith came to Key West to shoot their first destination wedding. We agreed it was the best reason to celebrate! So, we met up for their incredible couples session at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

On the day of their session, Kat and Keith drove all the way from Key West to the state park for their own photos (talk about troopers). They photographed their couple’s day-after-brunch in the morning, then drove the 3 1/2 hours our way. Kat knew she wanted their photos to be at a lighthouse, so Bill Baggs was perfect. Kat and Keith are high school sweethearts, together for 11 years – and married for 3 (just like Pete and me). We had so much fun just chatting and discussing our businesses.

As we began our session, the moody coastal skies greeted us with a warm breeze and waves crashing to shore. We spent the evening running around the beach, taking in the beauty of the lighthouse, and bonding over our travels, couples, and owning a business with our person. Everything was going perfectly until… the park kicked us out for closing😅 We were just having too much fun hanging out together!
